River Restaurant

Situated on the banks of the Penryn River, this lively restaurant wanted a fun and funky lighting scheme that created a welcoming outdoor space in the evening, and enabled guests to relax and enjoy the stunning views.

As a nod to the nautical history of the port, a cluster of large globe lights, evocative of harbour buoys, hang from chains over the sheltered seating area of the outdoor terrace. Their colour changes slowly during the evenings, from warm oranges and pinks through to cool blues and greens. The decking area is lined with LED strip, which runs around the underside of the railing to avoid light pollution and creates a soft, ambient light to match the relaxed mood of the café. 

Miss Peapod's has since closed and become Muddy Beach. Despite having an interior refit to create a Scandinavian vibe, Eleanor is happy to say that they decided to keep the exterior lighting!
